You need to be signed into the Google account that you’ve used on your host computer. Using Desktopįrom your desktop PC, open Google Chrome Remote Desktop and visit this website.
Now that your host computer is ready for connections, it’s time to access it from another desktop computer or mobile device.
Connect to the host computer from another device You can also uninstall the app by right-clicking and choosing ‘Remove from Chrome.’ 2. To remove the app, click the trashcan icon alongside your computer’s name. To disable remote connections, input on your Google Remote Desktop search box or click the Chrome Remote Desktop icon located on the side of the address bar. If you want to access the computer remotely for an extended period, make sure the system will not go on hibernation mode. The host computer will remain available for connections as long as it’s turned on and Chrome is running. After you confirm it, the Google Remote Desktop tab will show you that the PC is online and waiting. Your operating system may show a warning asking if you want to allow the app to initiate a remote desktop connection. Take note that remote desktop Software is encrypted for extra protection. You will need this PIN to access the computer remotely. Click the Next button afterward and create a PIN made of at least six digits.
Return to your original tab and a prompt will ask you to name your computer. Click the blue-button that says ‘Add to Chrome’ and confirm that you want to continue the process. This will download the Chrome Remote Desktop extension. Within Chrome, go to and click the circular blue arrow icon under Set up remote access. If you don’t have it yet, download and install Chrome.
